New Spotify Playlist

New Spotify Playlist

Are you looking for some new music? I just updated the Psyko Steve Presents playlist on Spotify. Some new music by most of the artists I am bringing to town in the next few months.

Starting off is the great new single “Oblivious” by Miniature Tigers. I love this band and this is one of the best songs they have ever done.

Jessica Hernandez_Press-small

There is a new one from Jessica Hernandez And The Deltas. She is one of the best new acts out their right now. Her sound is a raw and gritty jazzy rock in roll.

There are a few tracks from Rubblebucket is a indie/dance band from Brooklyn. SPIN said “the band seamlessly incorporates funky horns, catchy synth loops, and tUnE-yArDs-esque percussion to craft their own brand of forward-thinking pop.”

There is a new track from Party Gardens. Party Gardens is the new project from Sean Brennan of Yellow Minute and Paul Waxman of Dear And The Headlights as well as some cats form What Laura Says and Wooden Indian.

Also on the play list are new tracks from Anberlin, Kopecky Family Band, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Dwntwn, The Griswolds, Foxy Shazam, James Wallace & The Naked Light, Joey Cape (of Lagwagon), Whisky Shivers, Drag The River, A Sunny Day In Glasgow, Rusty Maples and many more.

Bigger Than Sound: Documentary on Stateside and Crescent History

The above video is a short documentary called Bigger Than Sound about Stateside Presents and Crescent Ballroom owner Charlie Levy. The film is by Sliding Door Productions and features interviews with Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World, Sam Means of The Format and merch company Hello Merch, Nate Ruess of The Format and Fun., and Miniature Tigers.

Good job to Kayla Frost and Alex Gregory on making such a great film.
