AMERICAN LONGSPURS
AMERICAN LONGSPURS
Hailing from the American southwest, American Longspurs deliver their brand of country rock from the sweltering streets of Phoenix, Arizona. Formed by childhood friends and lifelong musical partners Zachary Zimmerman and Drew Switzer, American Longspurs evoke the sounds of yesterday's outlaw country legends Waylon Jennings and Johnny Paycheck while drawing comparisons to today's Americana superstars such as Drive-By Truckers and Ryan Bingham. With Chester Carmer, Nick Pawlowski and John Churchill rounding out the band in 2014 the Longspurs hit the stage hard including an appearance at the Country Thunder music festival alongside Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Easton Corbin and more. The year was highlighted, however, by the release of their sophomore EP Palo Santo. "While many artists seem to pay lip service to respecting classic country music, that's not always evident in their sound. Fortunately, that's not the case with American Longspurs. Frequently plain-spoken, sometimes poetic, Palo Santo provides a soundtrack for wanderers" (Carolyn Dixon, Goodnight Hestia). Proving there is indeed no rest for the wicked, American Longspurs kicked off 2015 with the release of their latest single Whiskey Feelin' which is available now on all major online music stores and streaming applications. The boys are currently hard at work writing and recording new material for a follow-up release expected out late 2015.

CISCO & THE RACECARS
Back in 2008 three teens of the Jam Pak Blues 'N Grass Neighborhood Band formed a band called The Real Deal. Under the management and vision of Francisco Briseno, the band grew and diversified, incorporating new members and new instruments. The current members have been together since the fall of 2013. Around this time, mandolinist Chester Carmer came up with the band's new name in honor of Cisco's Nascar-esque driving habits.

Cisco & the Racecars play at music venues arounf the Valley, including the Crescent Ballroom and the Yucca Taproom. They also enjoy playing at house parties and on the streets of Phoenix. They won a spot in the Marana Bluegrass Festival and the Hi Country Bluegrass Festival at Arcosanti for 2013. They also took first place in the Fiddle-in Band Contest at Payson. Most notably, they won the band contest at the Pickin' in the Pines Festival and will be a featured band there in September 2015.

Although their roots are bluegrass and they remain true to that tradition, they are also able to play popular, country, and old-time music.

The band enjoys traveling, jamming, adventuring, and meeting new people. Keep them in mind when you want some great entertainment.
